I particularly like it when a club is dedicated to poker and not just a large space filled with poker tables dragged up from a basement.
Park View is for cash games only and is open to the public 5 nights a week, usually from 7:30pm until the wee hours of the next morning, and sometimes, right through to the following night!
My mate, Dan the Dragon is running things and as a player first, he has converted the room into a state of the art den for the serious player, and has even had a table custom built.
Dan likes to do things a little bit differently and likes to pay attention to the detail and is offering free food (he is an amazing chef and used to run one of the premiere Chinese restaurant kitchens over here) hot drinks and soft drinks all night and even offers a free pick-up and drop-off service after 1am.
There is always a dealer when the poker room is open and there is a separate area for smokers, which is good news for me as I couldn't stand the days of smoky poker dives!
Another nice little touch, is the free Internet Area and the club will soon be offering e-Gaming with a live dealer - I have no idea how that works but I am intrigued and will check it out.
So, get yourself to the Park View Poker Club and check it out, you don't even have to play, just let Dan know you are coming, pop in and have a look around and if you are lucky, you may even get some grub!
